1/4/12

Today was the first day of clinic. I am glad to be back but a little nervous and excited to work on patients. We learned about the ultrasonic today and I really like it. We didn't get to use it on a real patient, only on the typodont so I'm sure it will be different on a real person.

AHHH! Next clinic is real pt day!

It is so crazy! I can't believe it is already here. I loved today though; We were singing and dancing and just having a good time. It was really easy going and I learned so much. I loved being able to just sit and work with my instruments and figure out how the heck I use all these instruments.

Mock pt day!

I was way more nervous than I thought I was going to be. I feel like I did really well though. I am yet again still getting the swing of things. I am excited for our real patient day. I think it is going to be really fun working on my dad.

I was the patient today!

Even thought I was the patient today, I really learned alot about how things flow. I feel tons better about the real patient day.

Practice Day!

Today was so nice, I felt like I got caught up on everything. I passed off air powder polishing, sealants, and fluoride. Poor Mark! Now I am off to study for Costley's class and later going out with the volleyball girls. I have had so much fun playing volleyball...tonight is our night to hang out after the season is over.

Sealant Day

So today we learned how to apply sealants. I have done many sealants so I feel like I'm doing pretty good at it. One of them is still a little high and is driving me nuts though.

October 26th

Today we used the air powder polisher. We looked awful! We were all PPE'ed up and looked similar to lunch ladies...and we got some awesome pictures! I had never seen the APP until today and I don't know if I am such a huge fan yet. It is so messy, which I think the patient won't enjoy. But it was fun to learn about it.
